M.Demirelli was born in 1996 in Ankara. Between 2003-2011, he was recognized as a child prodigy and gave over 100 concerts in Turkey and internationally. He studied piano with O.Ünler at the Bilkent Music Sch., with A.R.El Bacha, D.Bashkirov and M.J.Pires at the QEMC, with R.Castro at the HEMU, the Fiesole Music Sch. and then the HEM. He is currently continuing his perfection studies in l'École normale de musique de Paris with J-P.Collard. He is prize winner of IBLA Grand Prize, Onay Art, d'île de France, Yamaha Swiss, Vigo Piano Competitions. At age 15, he has been granted a prize "Young artist of the year, in Germany" during Munich concert. He attended incl. I.Biret, F.Say, H.Sermet, G.Onay, E.Golandsky, J.C.Vanden Eynden, P.De Maria, S.Kovacevich, C.R.Hamelin, P.Cassard, N.Goerner, R.Shereshevskaya, M.Kodama’s master-classes. He has given concerts with orchs. incl. The Bilkent SO, The Borusan Istanbul PO, Presidential SO of Turkey, Kaunas SO, The RC Orch.of Wallonia, The Sinfonia Varshovia and NEOJIBA. The conductors he collab/w such as A.Dumay, J.C.Casadesus, R.Castro. Demirelli is a recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician. The wind quinted Ensemble Astera, is expanding its horizons by exploring the rich repertoire for piano sextet in late 2024 sharing the stage with Demirelli.
